Diseases on Dbloods — which are active & how to survive them

Sickness is a real threat on Dbloods. But the two servers don't play by the same rules: Chernarus runs a curated set of diseases, while Sakhal keeps the full hardcore survival experience. Here is exactly what you face on each — and how to stay alive.

1. Two servers, two rulesets

On Chernarus PvP we filter the disease list so survival stays punishing but fair for a combat server. On Sakhal PvE, where survival is the game, the full vanilla disease system is active.

2. Chernarus PvP — active diseases

Disabled on Chernarus for a smoother PvP flow: common cold, influenza, wound infection and heavy-metal poisoning. You won't catch a random cold mid-firefight — but eat human meat or drink bad water and you'll pay for it.

3. Sakhal PvE — full survival

Sakhal runs every vanilla disease: kuru, cholera, salmonella and chemical contamination, plus the cold-weather ones — influenza, common cold and wound infection. On a freezing island, staying warm and dry is half your health bar.

4. Know your enemy

5. Your survival kit

Keep these on you and most illnesses stay manageable: tetracycline / antibiotics, vitamins, disinfectant (alcoholic tincture), water purification tablets, and an NBC set for toxic zones. Traders in the safezone stock the basics.

6. Prevention beats cure

Most diseases are self-inflicted: bad water, raw food, human meat, no protection in a toxic zone. On Sakhal especially, cooking is your first line of defence — a hot meal clears kuru, salmonella and heavy metals in one bite. Read the cooking guide.

In short

Chernarus keeps four diseases (kuru, cholera, contamination, salmonella); Sakhal runs them all plus flu, cold and wound infection. Clean water, cooked food, NBC gear in toxic zones and a small med kit will carry you through. Stay warm, stay clean, stay alive.
