Cooking on Sakhal PvE — the CookZ system

On Dbloods Sakhal, food is more than a hunger bar. The CookZ mod turns raw ingredients into real, hot dishes — and cooking is one of your best survival tools on the winter island.

1. What is CookZ?

CookZ is a full cooking system, active on our Sakhal PvE server. Instead of gnawing on a raw can, you combine ingredients into proper meals — soups, stews, baked goods and more — cooked hot and ready to eat. It rewards players who gather, prepare and share food with their group.

2. The CookBook

Everything starts with the CookBook: on Dbloods you can craft it yourself (no need to find one), then open it to browse every recipe you can make and the ingredients each one needs. Keep it in your inventory — it is your kitchen manual.

3. How cooking works

4. Cooking is medicine

This is the part most survivors miss. On Dbloods Sakhal, cooking your food removes the dangerous agents it can carry:

In short: a raw diet on Sakhal will make you sick; a cooked diet keeps you healthy. See our diseases guide for what each illness does.

5. Food that never spoils

On our server, cheese and sausage never decay — craft them once and they keep forever, the perfect stash food for long expeditions. Cans and boxes still spoil over time, so rotate those.

6. Why it matters on PvE

Sakhal is a co-op survival island: the cold, hunger and sickness are the real enemies. A group with a cook eats better, heals its food-borne illnesses for free, and can push farther from the safezone. Cooking is a team skill — someone gathers, someone hunts, someone cooks.

In short

Craft the CookBook, keep at least 50% of each ingredient, cook everything (it clears kuru, salmonella and heavy metals), and stock cheese & sausage for the road. On Sakhal, a good cook is a survivor.
