Getting Started on Sakhal PvE — the Dbloods guide

Welcome to Dbloods Sakhal, our 100% PvE EU server: a hostile winter island where the enemy isn't the other player, but the cold, the infected and the mercenaries. Here you cooperate, explore and progress — and when you die, everything you carry stays on your body. Here is everything you need for your first hours.

1. Joining the server

✅ Method 1 (recommended) — Official DayZ Launcher (Steam)

1. Launch DayZ from your Steam library → the official launcher opens.
2. Go to Servers → Community and type the name: "Dbloods EU|PVE|Sakhal|NoRaid|Survival|Airdrop|Keycards" (IP 149.202.66.18:5004).
3. Click the server → "Setup DLCs and mods and join" → the mods (DbloodsPack, ToxicZone…) install automatically.
4. Join → you're in!

🛠️ Method 2 (if you run into trouble) — DZSA Launcher

1. Install DZSA Launcher: dayzsalauncher.com
2. Search for the server → Download Mods → Play.

2. Your first minutes

• Spawn Select: on connection, a menu lets you choose your spawn point on the map — start near your friends or your target area.
• Open the map with the "," key and create your group: up to 10 players — Sakhal is built for team play. Every group can place a flag with a 70 m protection radius.
• 🎁 Starter Kit: claim your starting kit through our Discord bot (command in the dedicated channel).
• 🧊 Priority #1: the cold. Find warm clothes and something to make fire fast — on Sakhal, hypothermia kills more than the zombies do.

3. The safezone & the elevator

The safezone is your safe haven: traders, ATM, zero danger. This is where you gear up and plan your runs.

To get there, use one of the extraction elevators scattered across the island — you need an HM Ticket to ride up (they're lootable… and the Undead often carry them 😉).

To head back out, take the exit elevator (free): it returns you to where you were before entering — your initial TP point. No destination picker like on Chernarus: you pick your adventure back up exactly where you left it.

4. A 100% PvE world

• 🕊️ PvP is disabled everywhere — no player can shoot you.
• 🏰 NoRaid: your base can not be looted by other players. What you build is yours.
• ❄️ The real threat: survival. Biting cold, hunger, thirst, sickness — the island forgives nothing.
• 🪖 The mercenaries (AI) are out there: hostile, well-armed soldiers. Engage them prepared.
• 💪 LIMITED stamina: unlike Chernarus, no unlimited stamina here — manage your breath and your weight.
• 🎯 Deliberately harder: less loot than Chernarus and a tighter economy — Sakhal is our true survival experience.
• Every action matters: dying means leaving all your gear on your body — sometimes far away, in the snow…

5. Building your base: surface or underground

Two styles on Dbloods:

• Surface base (BaseBuildingPlus / BBP): walls, gates, storage, locks.
• Underground bunker (HM Bunker): a hatch in the ground opens your tunnel network — discreet and sheltered from the blizzard.

Thanks to NoRaid, your base is safe — build for comfort and organization, not defense.

⚠️ FAIR-PLAY RULE (important): you can NOT place your hatch right next to your flag/BBP base. The server enforces an 85 m keep-away between the two (otherwise placement is blocked and your shovel refunded). Goal: no "2 bases in 1". And follow the building rules in the #Rules-PvE channel (restricted areas, fair play).

6. The infected: from weakest to strongest

They're not all equal — their loot scales with how dangerous they are:

1. Civilian infected (citizens, farmers, villagers) — the weakest, basic loot.
2. Military infected (soldiers, patrols) — tougher, military loot.
3. Toxic infected (toxic zones & hordes) — tougher still, often in packs.
4. 🩸 Undead — massive HP, the hardest to kill… but the best loot you'll pull off any infected: expect DNA Keycards, chest keys, HM tickets, ammo boxes… and other surprises to discover yourself. You'll find them at specific spots on the island (in small packs) — up to you to scout them. 😉

🐻 The BOSSES

Sakhal has its own boss system: a boss bear escorted by its wolves, or a boss zombie protected by its horde. The pack overwhelming you? Focus: take down the designated BOSS to win the fight.

7. The big loot: toxic zones, events & keycards

• ☢️ Toxic zones: full NBC suit required (mask + filter + suit + gloves) — the best loot hides there.
• 🛡️ Secure the Zone: the zone-defense event — push back the horde, claim the safe.
• 🚢 Wrecked Ship Event: a stranded ship packed with loot appears — search it before the other groups.
• 🚁 Heli crashes, military wrecks (stranded boats), airdrops: the classic events run around the clock.
• 🔐 DNA Keycards: open reinforced rooms packed with loot.

• 🪙 Cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, MetaLeon): found in airdrops and DNA rooms — sell them at the Exchange, or keep your Bitcoin: it's the currency of the Crypto counter, where top-tier gear is bought.
• 🏆 And build your collection of rare items — every piece adds prestige (and value) to your treasure.

8. Caches & locked chests

• 🕵️ Hidden stashes & cabinets: concealed caches all over, holding things worth the detour — collectables, scopes/optics and other finds.
• 🔒 Locked chests: locked chests spawn across the world — you need the right key to open them. And guess who carries those keys? The Undead (among others)… It all comes full circle. 😉

9. Recycler & 3D Printer — craft your own gear

At fixed spots on the map:

• ♻️ Recycler: turns your unwanted items into materials and resin. Concrete example: recycle a spare weapon or junk item → you get nails (×15), metal plates… and resin (Yellow / Blue / Green / Red depending on value). Nails + plates go straight into building your base: nothing is wasted, everything recycles.
• 🖨️ 3D Printer: loot the printer kit, set it up, and use resin to print 200+ items: tools, weapon parts, optics, magazines, electronics… Spare resin or kits? They sell at the Black Market.

No player danger here (PvE!) — but the stations are out in the open: watch for infected and mercenaries while you work.

10. Quality of life (QoL)

• ⚡ HoverLoot: hover over an item to pick up / drop / transfer it instantly (no more slow drag & drop).
• 🗂️ One-click sorting (SortZ): tidy your inventory or a chest in a single click.
• 🛏️ Sleeping bag: place it in your base → you respawn at home after death.
• 💬 DBMessenger (Dbloods in-house mod): an in-game messenger — text your friends and your group without leaving the game, wherever you are.
• 🛍️ Dbloods P2P (in-house mod): the player-to-player market, openable from anywhere on the map — buy and sell to other survivors without traveling.
• 📊 Items Info: all your weapon, gear and item stats at a glance, right in the inventory.
• 🍲 CookZ: dozens of real cooking recipes — cook full meals to endure the cold (Sakhal exclusive).

11. Skins & customization — zero pay-to-win

• 🎨 Skin system: free skin variants for everyone — customize your equipment without paying anything.
• ✨ VIP+: access to a large skin panel — hundreds of weapon and gear skins to stand out.
• 💯 Our rule is simple: NO pay-to-win. Ever. We never sell anything that gives a gameplay advantage — only skins and cosmetic items with zero in-game benefit. Your gear, you earn it by playing, like everyone else.
